It’s not often that a script speaks to you on a very deep level. Death Meets Toby was that script. In Toby’s final moments, as he closes the garage door with the engine running, he travels deeply into his mind and hallucinates and revisits the fears and losses of his life. Beautifully written and sensitively directed by Adrián Lausell Cabán, Death Meets Toby gave me a real workout and required me to use every tool given to me by my teacher, Wynn Handman. The shoot was so joyful, and the crew showed endless enthusiasm and support. I am looking forward to see DP San Yvin’s artful photography to bring his and Adrián’s vision to the screen.
